One of the areas we discussed was whether there are habits which children can learn that would make them happy in themselves and in their learning. The theory of happiness has had a surge recently which has led to a vast number of educators trying different tactics in the classroom. In this video Erin Mitchell Threllfall - a theatre artist, activist and education shares her experience of introducing learning lessons of happiness to her students. Her work is based on findings from research on the Five Habits of Happiness:

1. Write three things for which you are thankful

2. Reflect on the happy memories

3. Exercise

4. Meditate

5. Practise random acts of kindness
